You're invited to attend the first statewide workshop hosted by the Missouri Department of Conservation on connecting your community to nature. May 7-9 in Columbia MO. Resource conservation is becoming an increasingly vital component of urban planning in our cities. This three-day workshop will provide opportunities to learn how to integrate ecological services into the built environment of your community.

A diverse schedule of session topics will culminate in an understanding of the economic, environmental and social benefits that are realized through community stewardship of natural resources.

Workshop Highlights May 7-9

• Workshop sessions featuring speakers from: City Governments, Regional Planning Councils, the Missouri Department of Conservation, the National Park Service, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, University of Arkansas Community Design Center, and more

• Tuesday evening social with special guests the Fishin' Magicians

• Field trip to innovative project sites in the Columbia area
